Search on for offenders after thefts in Numurkah and Strathmerton

Driver charged

A man has been charged after he was allegedly found to be in possession of a drug of dependence in Numurkah.

Police intercepted the man on Thursday about 3 pm.

The man was charged with drug offences and other road traffic offences, including driving a motor vehicle with false plates.

Op shop targeted

Thieves targeted an op shop in Numurkah last week.

Police said overnight on October 1 offenders removed a mesh gate to gain access to a storage area.

Once inside offenders allegedly stole a number of items.

Police said they also attempted to gain entry to the rear of the store without success.

All of the stolen items were located nearby.

Business broken into

A Cobram business was the target of theft last week.

Police said a man forced entry into the front door of the Mookarii St store about 4 am Friday.

Once inside, the man, who was wearing a grey Adidas hoodie, black track pants and white sneakers, searched the premises.

Police believed the man left empty handed.

Property targeted a second time

A Crawford Rd, Strathmerton, property broken into last week for the second time in a month.

Police said overnight on September 30, offenders entered the open workshop at the address and allegedly stole Milwaukee and Makita battery drills, a socket set and a King chrome spanner set.

The items had a valued of $1400.
