Body of former Shepparton woman found in WA’s Pilbara

Thursday, Jan 17: The body of a Pilbara woman missing since Sunday has been found in bushland near Mount Nameless.

WA Police said Felicity Shadbolt's body was located by a member of the public around 7pm last night.

The 36-year-old mother-of-two was last seen on the weekend in Tom Price.

Wednesday, Jan 16: A search has resumed for former Shepparton mother Felicity Shadbolt, who went missing while bushwalking in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

Some 50 people are looking for Ms Shadbolt, 36, who failed to return from a bushwalk in the Mt Nameless area on Sunday.

Mother of two Ms Shadbolt (nee Dick), known as ‘‘Flick’’, was a keen bushwalker and is known to have worked at Jesse’s clothing store in Shepparton’s Maude St Mall, Aquamoves and more recently at Goulburn Valley Health before relocating to the remote Pilbara region two years ago.

Thirteen officers from Tom Price and Karratha police were yesterday leading the search with aerial support.

About 20 State Emergency Service volunteers and another 20 community volunteers are also involved.

Ms Shadbolt is about 150cm tall, of slim build and has blonde hair which is braided in two ponytails.

She is believed to be wearing blue pants and a black T-shirt and was carrying a light blue backpack.
