Woman in a critical condition

A woman in her 50s remains in a critical condition following a near drowning at Aquamoves in Shepparton.

A woman pulled from the water at Aquamoves in Shepparton on Monday night remains in a critical condition, after what has been described as a near drowning.

The woman, in her 50s, is at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said paramedics responded to a call at 5.38pm after reports of a woman being pulled from the water.

‘‘The woman was assessed at the scene in a critical condition and taken to Goulburn Valley Health via road ambulance,’’ the spokesperson said.

The woman arrived at Goulburn Valley Health at 7.06pm and her condition was assessed before she was transferred to Melbourne.

‘‘The patient was transferred here in the early hours of this morning,’’ a St Vincent’s Hospital spokesperson said.

‘‘She remains in a critical condition.’’

Aquamoves was closed for the night and re-opened yesterday at 6am.
