Fifteen Cobram people in a long-running store syndicate have shared in a total prize of $1.5 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto Superdraw.
In addition to winning the division one prize, the syndicate entry also won division two six times, division three 12 times, division four 45 times and division five 20 times, increasing the syndicate’s total prize amount to $1156129.25.
Cobram Lotto owner Dean Clydesdale said he had had a busy morning as a frenzy of winners came into the shop.
‘‘It’s very exciting! We had winners coming in all morning to claim their prize,’’ Mr Clydesdale said.
‘‘Some knew already, but I’ve been able to break the news to some, which is just fantastic.’’
Mr Clydesdale said the store syndicate had been running for more than 18 years.
‘‘We’ve owned the place for about 15 years, but this syndicate was set up by the old owner about 18 years ago,’’ he said.
Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries, four from Victoria, three from South Australia, three from NSW, three from Western Australia, and one from Queensland.
