by
August 04, 2017

River red gums can reach 45m tall and live for more than 500 years.

Residents across the Goulburn Valley and wider Victoria have been asked to have their say in the management of river red gum parks and reserves.

Parks Victoria’s River Red Gum Draft Management Plan looks into the management of more than 100 parks and reserves covering over 215000ha across northern Victoria.

The intent of the plan is to protect and enhance the areas natural, cultural and recreational values and incorporates most parks and reserves in northern Victoria.

The closing date for submissions is Wednesday, September 20.

Online submissions can be made at the Parks Victoria website: www.parks.vic.gov.au/redgumplan
