Shepparton eyesores?

by
January 10, 2017

The vacant block adjacent to Chemist Warehouse on Wyndham St, Shepparton has been left in a derelict state for a number of years.

Last year business owners of the multi-deck car park in Shepparton said they were prepared to provide $22,000 for a “fix-up”, that never happened.

The Shepparton Hotel has been left in it's burnt out state since 2007 after fire tore through the premises.

The appeal of a town is about its buildings as much as its people.

Victoria Park Lake, Queen's Gardens, the Goulburn River and fruitful orchards are just some of the many beautiful attractions in our region.

The photos in the gallery above could be described as an "eyesore" by some, perhaps by people who have seen it one too many times - familiarity breeds contempt as they say.

The News is interested in hearing our readers' thoughts on other eyesores in Shepparton and the wider region.

What would you like to see improved?

Why? Perhaps to create a beautiful town that attracts families, friends and tourists from far and wide.
