Works for construction of a small pavilion at the Shepparton Regional Sports Precinct have been awarded by Greater Shepparton City Council.
Last week, Council accepted a tender for more than $1,150,000 for construction of the small pavilion, which will include two change spaces, toilets, showers, a kitchen area, first-aid room, storage area and concrete tiered seating at the front of the facility.
The build had been estimated at $1,100,000, and is to be funded jointly by the council and the Federal Government.
Cr Les Oroszvary moved the motion to accept the tender, describing the works as another piece of the sports precinct puzzle.
Cr Dennis Patterson said he was pleased to see more tenders being received for such works than he remembered there having been 12 months ago.
Cr Dinny Adem said it was exciting that the small pavilion would be built and ready to use by late October early November this year.
This marks the latest works awarded as part of the $19million redevelopment of the Greater Shepparton Regional Sports Precinct.
