Rape charge for policeman

A Victorian policeman has been charged with the rape of a woman in NSW eight years ago.

It is alleged the off-duty sergeant raped the woman in Moama in April 2008 and he has been charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent.

The 40-year-old, who has been suspended but is still being paid, is due to face Deniliquin Local Court inJuly.

Boat stolen from river

Murchison police are on the lookout for a stolen boat.

Police believe the boat was taken from the Goulburn River near a property at Day Rd in Murchison between March 26 and April 14.

The boat is an aluminum Savage 415 Jabiru with a 20Hp mercury and a four stroke motor with rego QY468.

Fibreglass vessel missing

Cobram police are looking for a boat valued at $13000 that was stolen last month.

Police say it was stolen in the early hours of Thursday, April 28.

It has a distinctive white fibreglass twin hull and has in blue writing the boat name of ‘‘Aquaholic’’ on the side.

Anyone who has seen the boat in the past two weeks should phone Constable Andrew Costello at Cobram Police Station on 58711977.

Bus at move at police disco

The Mooroopna Blue Light dance party is back.

Children aged between seven and 14 are encouraged to bust out some super fly dance moves in a safe, supervised environment.

Mooroopna police will supervise the night.

The dance party will be on Friday, May 13, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at the Seniors Hall, Morrell St, Mooroopna. Cost is $8
